Sounds great but who pays social security taxes for retirees? Not everyone will be onboard with a robo index for retirement.

Yes, I was thinking along those same lines, especially wrt dependency ratios. Not only will defined benefit retirement funds be hit will lower levels of funding but the treasury will also recover less tax via the payroll...is an equivalent tax on robots necessary to ensure the welfare of the ficus? Or will higher corporate profits (and therefore tax) more than compensate?

Hi Raoul, always a good read. Who's winning the quantum supremacy race and who controls the human, infrastructure and natural resources necessary for this transition to happen? These constraints could influence the outcome overall and from a geo perspective?

That's the main point! In theory everything sounds simple, but without the metals or with the intermiten unrealiable power (that is the cheaper and cheaper electricity he is talking about non stop - realible base load is NOT getting cheaper - but that doesn't fit into his narrative and/or worldview) the story doesn't hold water...
